Palia Concludes Pre-Alpha Test – Learned Details and Next in New Blog

Community simulation MMORPG Palia Just completed their little Pre-Alpha test, and the Singularity 6 team can’t wait to talk about the encouraging results. Palia Still has a long way to go before it’s done, but the blog accentuates most of the positive responses from Pre-Alpha testers.

Singularity 6 was overwhelmed with the response to their next game, receiving several thousand more contestants to test the game than expected. Despite such an enthusiastic response to testing, they were only able to provide access to a small percentage of players.

Now that the Pre-Alpha testers have completed the first phase of testing, Singularity 6 provided a quick overview of the stats that led to the testing:

  • Players detected 78,650 (virtual) bugs
  • Players collected 76,431 harvests
  • Players hunted 128,952 beasts
  • The players baked 153 pies

While these are impressive numbers, it’s obvious the baking pie numbers are way too low. Specifically, Singularity 6 wanted to know if the game conveyed the sense of community they were looking for.

Have the players been encouraged to interact with each other? Did they have the feeling that Palia could be a place they feel they belong? They asked these questions to their testers and accumulated several answers.

“I really started to think about how Palia could become a daily part of my life and just a peaceful place for me to come back… I realize that Palia has made me a more peaceful and happy person.”

As someone who is (mostly) a ranger, I am very grateful for how Palia allows for easy co-op. I never made it to a neighborhood, but the vast majority of the time I worked in mining or hunting, I found people to cooperate with! “

You can read all the impressions and see many in-game screenshots on the official blog. Singularity 6 always encourages potential players to sign up for testing. No specific date has been announced for the next phase, but more players will be invited throughout each phase, so the best way to get involved, according to the development team, is to sign up and stay. active in the Palia Discord.
