Dead Cells update 24 alpha is now live, with buffs and new rooms

It was not so long ago that Dead cells has had its last big round of changes, but Update 24 is coming. New biomes, weapons and more have been added regularly, but there are also many smaller updates. Like most updates to the game, this one is available in the public alpha before it is integrated into the game’s default branch. The update mainly focuses on item balancing and new rooms. Interestingly, however, linking multiple elements is temporarily unavailable and will not be available at all in this alpha release. But, it will come back to custom mode with the full version of the update.

If you’re worried that your favorite posts are all nerfed, that’s not what’s happening here. The team took Dead cells‘objects that see less use and polish them to make them more useful. There are currently 88 element changes in effect, of which only 20 are nerves. The rest being buffs, so it’s hard to worry about any of these changes. Players often ignore some of the older weapons, so they will receive the most noticeable upgrades. This includes mechanical changes, such as the ability to consistently mirror grenades as intended.

Motion Twin removed linking from several objects because players were getting a little too old-fashioned, but we’re also going to have new rooms to spice up games. Rooms have been added in both Fatal Falls and the Distillery to make them a bit more lively. Finally, there is now room creation for modders, so that they can easily (well, relatively) create their own rooms. If you want to go for the alpha, just select it under Betas in your Steam properties folder and let the update begin. Then cross your fingers and hope your favorite whip is intact.
