Income, sales tax: Against sales tax, supports income tax with provisions: “Only if enacted by constitutional amendment to (1) fund the improvement of public education, (2) restrict percentage rate based on Federal Adjusted Gross Income; (3) clearly defines goals/criteria on how to measure improvements in education (4) defines criteria on how funds would be distributed to educational institutions, ( 5) include language to protect the funds from being used for any other purpose; and (5) if necessary, include a sunset clause in the event that this provision does not adequately meet the intent of the incorporation.
Marijuana: Against the legalization of the recreational use of marijuana and the authorization of sales in private or public stores. Against the legalization of domestic cultivation.
Should NH pass tougher gun control laws? Undecided. “However, I am for stricter enforcement of our current national laws and keeping all firearms out of the hands of minors.”
