Hourly members of the Fazoli restaurant team no longer have to wait for payday to access and spend their earnings. The Lexington, Kentucky brand has partnered with DailyPay, a non-traditional payroll service provider, to allow hourly team members at all company-owned locations to access their wages earned on the same day or the next day. To join DailyPay, Fazoli associates must download the app and register. There is no registration fee and no other fees unless the service is used.

“Many people in the service industry have been severely affected by the pandemic,” Fazoli vice president of human resources Dave Craig said in a company press release. “At Fazoli we were lucky to stay open for business, but many of our team had family members who lost their jobs or had their hours cut and needed money to pay their bills. on time, buy food or cover medical expenses.

Payday loan providers can charge interest rates of up to 18-22% for cash advances, but DailyPay allows Fazoli to quickly get team members’ salaries for a fraction of the cost.

“It’s a simple and convenient way for us to support our Fazoli’s family,” Craig said.

In just six weeks since DailyPay launched, 42% of eligible team members have signed up. At the current rate of use, the Italian brand has estimated that its team members will receive cash advances over the coming year totaling $ 800,000.

So far, individuals have used the service for daily necessities, with 20% of cash advances going to paying bills, 17% going to transportation, and 15% going to food.

Founded in 1988, Fazoli’s owns and operates nearly 220 restaurants in 28 states.
