Casey Askar TV spot shares immigration story as he drops millions on the run

Republican Naples Casey askar aired with a new biographical ad telling her immigrant story. The spot was scrapped the same day the restaurant mogul announced a $ 3 million candidate loan to his congressional campaign.

It’s the latest decision of the most recent candidate to jump into a crowded field in Florida’s 19th Congressional District, which has quickly become a force in the race.

The advertisement “All I have”Tells the story of Askar’s family fleeing Iraq on his seventh birthday.

“Christians like us were persecuted,” Askar says of images of the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

The ad goes that Askar joined the Marines and became a successful fast food franchisee.

The ad also shows him with his family reunited at local restaurants in a time apparently before social distancing guidelines.

Askar attributes his personal success to his immigration to the United States

“I will stand up for America with everything I have because I owe everything I have to America,” he said in the ad.

And campaign reports indicate he really means it. The Naples businessman has previously announced that he raised $ 500,000 within the first 11 days of deposit. Detailed reports available Wednesday show they included $ 493,915 in itemized contributions and an additional $ 12,315 in un itemized donations.

With the candidate loan, he had $ 3,506,230 in the coffers at the end of March. He spent $ 23,356 of that amount to keep the campaign going.

The tone and substance of Askar’s new ad is similar to his first digital video released last month.

The original spot came out shortly after Askar announced his candidacy.

The new ad will air on television and radio in the region.

But he has yet to emerge in an area that includes eight other Republicans aiming to succeed the US Rep. Francois Rooney.

This includes a number of current office holders, including the Mayor of Fort Myers Randy Henderson and state officials. Byron Donalds, Heather Fitzenhagen and Danish eagle.

Candidates are also invading the way of foreigners, notably Dr, William Figlesthaler, former Minnesota lawmaker Dan Severson, former candidate for mayor of New York Darren Aquino, and graduated from Ave Maria Law School Christy mclaughlin.
