Alpha Boötis shares his playlist (Waxworm, Thotcrime)

Canadian sci-fi-themed synth metal band Alpha Boötis recently released their new album titled “Jump to Alpha Bootis”, which features previously released singles “Serpens Nebula” and the title track, as well as a Gnarled Gojira Blanket and more. The new effort is a reinvention of the band’s EP ‘Episode I’, which they released in June 2017.

Today (and continuing our new column), Alpha Boötis graciously curated and shared with us a Spotify playlist consisting of tracks from ZOMBIESHARK !, Thotcrime, She Died in a Parking Lot, Gloom Influx, Waxworm and more. The tracks are streaming here and below.

Alpha Boötis comment: “Heavy metal and electronic music are often treated as if there is an impenetrable wall between the two. As anyone who listens to one of our songs can tell, we don’t believe it at all. On the contrary, we believe that using the expressive tools developed by electronic musicians can only lead to more interesting and diverse heavy music, and help us achieve new, exciting and intense sounds. These ten songs are examples of a few artists exploring the overlap of metal and electronics, and showing how awesome this cross-pollination can seem!“
